For those that are not familiar with Skid Row, it is approximately 55 blocks filled with homelessness, poverty, substance abuse addicts, and prostitution. Around Skid row, you have several multimillion-dollar buildings, including The Staples Center home of both The Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers, The Nokia Center, and The Fashion and Flower District. You may be going through many problems in life and believe that the problems that you are facing are too much. It may feel as if it’s impossible to overcome and you may feel like GIVING UP. But DON’T and here’s why. Exodus 13:17(NIV) states this: “ When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them on the road through the Philistine country, though that was shorter. For God said, “If they face war, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” The lord had just liberated the Israelites out of bondage from the Egyptians. The Lord was leading them to the land that he had promised to the fathers of the Israelites (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob). Mark 4:35-40 The disciples of Jesus Christ were in a ship with him, when a problem arose, then out of fear and worry they told the Lord Jesus “Master, carest thou not that we perish? Most, if not all of us can relate with the disciples, often when we face problems in life we get afraid, we start to worry, we forget who our God is, we forget his Word.  They had the Lord Jesus Christ in the ship with them and they were still afraid!
